A gentleman called us last night wanting an insurance value on a 1960 Allis-Chalmers D15 Diesel with the special heavy-duty front axle.
It is completely restored. Can anyone just give us a ballpark on what it is worth to help him out? We are not that familiar with what Allis Chalmer's Tractors bring. E-mail [email protected]. Very much appreciated-Jennifer/Jeff

$3000 is the right ball park. I sold on last year for $2,800. Had a real nice loader on it. bought a 615 like this with hole for $1000 don't think It would sell for more $3,000.

"RESTORED" means so many different things to different people that only a close in-person inspection of the item could even put a number into the correct ballpark.

Well if it runs good and is painted, then easily $3000+, IMO... But beyond that, it'd take a really good inspection and probably some running around on it.

"easily $3000"?

I'm not so sure I agree.

Yes, I definetly agree. RESTORED DOES MEAN DIFFERENT THINGS TO DIFFERENT PEOPLE. Most people put a paint job on with decals! We have John Deere's, over 50 ourselves. I leave the Allis's up to my cousin. Obviously, this gentleman didn't believe what he was telling him, so Mark had him call me. This gentleman wants to put $10,000.00 on it for insurance value. In my opinion, if he has receipts showing that into it, he should. Just wanted expert advice from Allis collector's. Appreciate your input. THANK YOU!
