Hey guys just picked up an allis 190xt. I think it will be a good tractor but has a few probs I need to work out. It has a little bit of blow by. When I tested it I couldn't get it to do it But now that its home it smokes a bit. Must not of warmed it enough. Any Idea what is acceptable an d if I use it this way will I damage it more?

its got a few leaky hoses I need to fix. I have to really push the brake pedals down hard to get them to work. Wondering how expensivethis might be. Or simple adjustment, wishful thinking. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Ross Johnson

Thanks for the info. The smoke is white but kind of alot of it. also a little oil or fuel leaks there too. I can live with that for awhile as long as im not hurting other components. thanks again

What color is the smoke? If it blows black smoke on a pull somebody probably turned up the fuel pump for more power. White smoke may just mean it"s not operating hot enough. A diesel needs to get up around 160 degrees or so to run clean.

Blow by will not hurt it to operate. It's just loosing compression. The brakes are not difficult and will likely need relining. It just involves pulling the brake covers. The 190 has a band and 2 discs to reline.
