Hydraulic Cylinder compatible with old Allis equipment

I have an old JD 8' disk that needs a hydraulic cylinder. I'd like to pull it with my WD45 so ideally I would like to put on a cylinder that is compatible with the tractor.

What flow rates or pressure should I be looking for. Anything else I should know?

Use the smallest bore diameter standard 8" stroke ram that you can find...something like this one.

I've hooked my WD45 to a number of different machines with cylinders and they have all worked just fine. All where one way cylinders but any how never had any problems. Flow rate on an Allis is low but pressure is high so the cylinder will need to be able to take 3000PSI or more but most cylinders will handle that no problem since rated pressure on them is lower then what they will take.

I've never ran into any problems with that. I know most of the hyd fluids I use are the hy-tran type so I don't have to keep 2 or 3 types on hand. Some how with all the tractors I have it gets hard to keep 2 or 3 types on hand so I just keep the one on hand it it has wroked just fine in all my tractors, Allis, ford, farmall, MH, and Oliver. Now if its right I don't know but so far never had any problems
