D17 Series IV 3 point question

Do ANY of the D17 Series IV tractors have the "belly hook" underneath? The older D17's removed the drawbars by removing a couple pins and tripping the belly hook. Did early versions of the D17 Series IV still have this belly hook, or were did ALL versions have only the three point hitch? Please advise. Thanks!

By the time the Series IV came out, the three point hitch was fast becoming the preferred hook up arrangement. Allis supplied the three point for those who wanted it but also provided the snap coupler hitch for others who might want that. Probably an Allis owner with lots of Allis snap coupler equipment. Personally, I would prefer the Allis designed three point hitch to an after market three point but adding an after market three point hitch to the D-17 is --- well, it's a "snap".

You could get the D17 IV with either the snap coupler hitch or the 3pth.

The real distiguishing feature is the full time hydraulics.

I have one with a 3pth.
