First, I"m not familiar with AC tractors. I was examining a B today and noticed the hydraulic setup. A line lead out of the pump to the bottom of a valve. This valve had two other lines connected 180 degrees apart from each other. Neither of these lines were attached to anything. This looks like a two way control valve and seems to be factory installed. My question is how the hydraulic oil returned to the pump.

the pump is a low volumn, high pressure system. maybe 1/2 gpm and 3200 psi. used to raise a small 1 inch diameter cylinder. normally power up, and gravity float back down. the oil goes back the same line it went up.--- the factory valve was a "selector valve" so you could have two systems, such as a rear blade and a center belly mower lift cylinder. you select which system by pulling the spool in or out, then leave it there. the 1/4 nch rod lever out of teh pump is then used to raise and float lower that implement.
