HOw do I remove the snap coupler Bell?

Hello;

I need to remove the snap coupler bell on my 63 D-17 serie III allis as I accidently " tapped" it and need to bend it into shape.
I have the lower pin (holding the hook)out okay, but the top one is STUBBORN. I am soaking with aerokroil, and try again tomorrow. But I am writing to find out suggestions that may help me out.

you could go out and buy a "MAPP" torch kit. it is the yellow bottle, has the pull the trigger ignition. I forget how much it cost (I think it's like 20 or 30 bucks for 2 bottles and the torch end do-hickey) but it puts out way more heat then a propane torch and would probably do what you want.

Hi big hunter;

I got the mapp gas as you suggested and still no luck. I am trying to not damage the shaft with the hammer, also. Lotsa fun working wiht the torch trying ot get it out when it is 100 out there today as i was working.

So I soaked it again and maybe soon I will have some luck. Any help is appreciated so let me know what you think or can suggest on this.

I don;t have a torch...I suppose I will have to patient and let the aerokroil do the work. At least , I know I had good luck with it in the past.
