Somebody down the road has a Allis Chalmer D road Grader siting outside. I was going to stop and ask if they wanted to sell it. What is one worth? It looks to be in goood shape and appears to run. I know alot depends on the condition but I just wanted a ball park.

I saw one sell at an auction about 7 or 8 years ago for $11,500. It had been sitting on the trailer for 6 or 7 years, the engine (gas) was locked up, 4 of the tires were flat (all were new when it first arrived, by then all the tires were dry rotted badly). The guy who bought it was from Kentucky, the auction was in east central MO.

About a year before, a friend of mine had sold his. It had about 50-60 hours on a rebuilt engine, chain boxes had been rebuilt 2 or 3 years before, decent rubber (truck tires), daily worker. He sold it for $5500.

It is worth whatever you are willing to give for it. (My opinion)

Hope this helps,

I bought a DD special at an auction in east Baltimore, Md about 5 years ago for $4900. It had every option except power brakes, and the final drive boxes had been rebuilt not too long before the sale.
