I have an Allis G and it looks good on the outside but it needs a good mechanic. It runs ok but I think it could use a rebuild. I see there are parts for sale through this site but I have no experience to do it myself and the local Deere deeler doesn't want to touch it. does anyone know a good AC mechanic in central indiana?
Thanks, James

I have dealt with Shoffners a couple of times, they have ordered some parts for me & had an injection pump rebuilt. They have been decent to deal with. My only issue is I have a 160 and they tell me some of the parts are no longer available.

I've had some good luck with ordering parts from millers. They were an allis dealer till agco dropped a lot of dealers that didnt move enough to suit them. I dont know if it is other suppliers picking up parts but i took a plow share down to replace and they couldnt find one available. But this spring i thought i'd try again and told them a bottom size over the phone and they ordered me 3 of them and they were the right ones! Now the little ball/swivel connection on my D17 throttle linkage i'm pretty sure has been discontinued. But remember shoffners is a massey dealer first. They can fix stuff you might have to do some looking for some parts. I also found out the Line that goes to my hydraulic guage is no longer available. but those things can be deal with. If i cant get this other guy to do the work i'm sending it to shofners since they are way cheaper on their shop rates.

Well they are spread out but i've found the east side of the state still has some allis dealers left. Lakers in rushville is one and miller equipment in greensburg is another. One i am thinking of trying is an agco dealers that handled mf but i think will do ok with allises too is shoffner farm equipment in fillmore. They are 31/2 miles west of stilesville on us 40 317 539 7376 . there is also one guy who deals in used ac stuff i'm going to check with him when i get my problem figured out.
