Got an HD31 that put a rod through the block and pan ( fresh rebuild!!!) sitting in a creek. 1/2 mile away is an HD41 with final drive out. Any way to make one work from the other?

the two tractors used the same transmission, steering housing and final drive assembly. the 31 had a 1150 inch straight 6 CUmmins and the 41 had the 12v- 1710 inch motor. 41 is a foot longer and extra track roller to get the 12 v inside... Now for the bad news, there were several upgrades to the final drives over 15 years. Some are direct replacements, some had the housing bored bigger to get bigger bearings inside, etc. You would have to know the serial numbers and get the final word on putting the 31 final drive into the 41 tractor... the 41 motor would probably be a real PITA to try to get into the 31 frame.
