Well the diesels both have a 301 ci engine but the 200 is runnin about 40 more hp. But the 190 is about 300 pounds heavier at about 7625 pounds. I grew up and still do use a 200 and i would by it over the 200 just because i am kinda partial to them. But if you dont need 105 horsepower then a 190 would be fine. Basically there the same tractor with a small hp difference.

I think you are confused Brad. Are you sure you are not thinking about a 210 or 220 on the hp?
The 190 and the 200 were both rated at 93.4 hp by the factory. The 200 is slightly heavier than the 190XT according to my information. The 7000 and the 7010 were rated at 106 hp. Even the 7020 was not 40 more hp than the 190.

You're right Joel, about the weight but he was talking about a straight 190 and not the 190XT ( I assume anyway). The straight 190 had about 77hp and the 200 while advertised at 93hp actually produced about 105 according to Norm Swinford's book and according to what I have seen over the years. The reason I think the 200 was sold at 190XT specs was Allis was too cheap to pay to have the 200 tested at Nebraska and there wasn't that much difference between the late 190XT and the 200. That's my thought.
