I have a D15 series 1 that I use when I rake and bale. I try not to take it on the highway whenever possible but that is not always possible for my situation. It developed a popping noise in the right rear sounds like it is comming from the middle of the wheel. I checked different things and found it doesn't make the noise when the clutch is in or when the high low lever is in neutral. I don't think a gear is broken but maybe something with the brakes??? I had to hold it back the last hilly field I baled. Thanks for any help anyone could give...Tom

Most of the time a popping means you have a bearing going bad. Run it as little as you can till you can have a look see because if it is a bearing it can/will take out more parts the more you use it
