I have a 7ft blade for my WD that I have never used. It attaches by the long bottom arm with the large loop and has 2 vertical supports that hook onto the lift arms. It came with 2 flat pieces of steel bars that I do not know how they are used. I suspect they go across and join to the vertical supports but see no purpose for them if they do. I wonder if they are actually part of the hook up for the blade or just some parts unrelated. I have never tried to hook it up and would like to hear from someone who knows how the blade is attached. I paid $300 for it and never used it and wonder if I could get my money out of it now too!

I am located in Union, Mo which is about 30 miles west of STL. I am [email protected]. Thanks for the info, I guess the rods are braces and are put on in an X fashion. Thanks, I think I understand.

The two bars do attach to the lift arms- they are stabilizers to minimize side-sway. Can post a pic of mine if needed. (They do not simply form an 'X'). Especially important when adjusting the blade for an angle cut. Value? around here they usually go for close to $100 per foot. Better value than a farm store blade- lots of adjustment and much heavier blade. Blade is what- 5/8-3/4 inch thick? Won't bend as easily as the cheap ones.

I believe the two flat steel bars connect to the bars that attach to the lift arms. They attach as in a cross - running from the bottom of one bar to the top of the other.

I've seen these bring more than $300 on EBay. Most are unable to adjust blade angle because the screws are rusted and froze. If you have one that everything is free and easily useful, you could make this point strongly and should be able to recover your money.
