Does anybody know if they put the ajustable front end on the B? The ser # says its a B but it has a front end like a CA.

Bob- the serial number of the tractor is by the shift lever on the transmission--- that will give you the year built.

if you have an adjustable front end, you will have the rear wheel hub that bolts on with 5 studs like the C, and not the 2 inch center nut like the normal B. that was an option for many years.

Yes they did. The early style had an arch with adjustable axel shafts. ( Didn't work too good) and a later style that is like the CA.

I just purchased one of the later ones and was wondering if you knew when they made the series of wide front "B" with a straight axle.

If I am reading it correctly they produced the adjustable front end starting in 1947.

Then I can assume my tractor was made between 1947 and 1957. Do you know of any other features that I may use to narrow the years?
