I have a sickle bar with the MFG # 2029940 its a allis chalmers model but other than that I dont know what it goes to, does anyone?

Over in left column, classified ads, garden tractors, a guy in WI is looking for one. I sent him an e-mail to look at this post. You could also advertise it on that board, on ebay, groups.yahoo, vgtcoa.com, etc.

Take a closer look at the number. If AC, 7 digit numbers starting with 1 would fit a Gleaner. 6 numbers starting with 5 would fit an All-Crop combine or a forage harvester header. 6 numbers starting with 3 would fit a sickle mower.

sorry I should have been more specific, its the full sickle bar mower unit with the MFG # 2029940 serial # 1162 whats it go on?

That's a number from the Simplicity series of lawn and garden tractor made for AC. It's a newer unit than anything I have info for. Does it have about a 46" cutting width? Sickle bars were not often purchased with a riding tractor, so its scarcity could make it valuable to a collector.

yup the bar is about 4 feet long , any idea where i can find out what model it goes to? and seeing how i have no use for it where would i advertise it?
