hay guys i have a 36 wc unstyled and it runs hot this is a non presurized system and it spits water out of the over flow and cap when run for more than 10 min or so . it crank starts easy 1 or 2 cranks and runs very good before i got it, it had a new head put on it. what do you think?????

garry you might be on to some thing . will check that. it was home made by the old guy that put the tractor together. old just where would a fella find the thermostat on a 1936 wc????

My dad's WC ran on the warm side til we discovered the exhaust pipe was pushed too far into the manifold.

Is it possible the radiator overflow tube is plugged? It might just be overfilled and spitting out the excess. There also may be a vacuum lock. Do you have straight water in it that get drained out frequently? It takes a bit for all the air to work its way out of the system.

First place to start is the thermostat and change/check it. If its good next thing to do is a complete cooling system flush. The way I do a flush is with vinagar. Drain the system fill with vinagar and run it till good and warm, let it cool some then drain it and back flush it with a garden hose. Rig up an hose adaptor that will hook into the block drain and let the water flow for a couple of hours
