Hello everyone I have a 41 C Allis thats been in hybernation for some time now bue to the starter ring needing to be replaced and now im in the process of fixing things.

My question to everyone is have you ever had any luck rebuilding a waterpump?

I was considering buying a new one but thought about rebuilding this one.

Like to see what everyone has done in a situation like this.

Thanks for the replies guys.

I have many years machins shop experience in automotive and commercial machining.

Im interested in the price of the rebuilt water pump.

Shoot me an email.

it is possible, but not very effective to do. the shaft is acutally the inner race of the ball bearing. when you beat it appart, it turns into a box of parts. the seal is not one that i see readily available. its really more trouble than its worth, unless you are a machinist and just want to prove you can do it. rebuilds are readily available.

Last time I tried to rebuild a water pump I ended up with scrap parts on my hand. They are very easy to brake because most of them are press fit parts. But on the other hand buying a rebuilt one isn't cheap eighter. I think I still have one or 2 of them laying round but there used so you never know how good or bad one maybe.
