today we started a project and with just a few minor delays we were rolling , a friend found a Allis combine model 72, pretty good shape, took 2 men 3 days to get it going, we hooked on to it with our 1948 Allis W D and with a little adjusting ,gas, points and carb we were combineing I was sure glad to see it going. tomorrow I plan to take my camera and if I can, I will post a pix ,if any would like to see. ah, old iron still able to get it done, see you later

The 60, 66, 72 machines were the best clover, grass seed combines ever made, only problem on the canvas machines on grass it liked to work it's way ynder the canvas and around the rollers so every day at least you were taking that canvas appart to unwind the grass from the rollers. Had 3 of the 60's.

My Dad custom combined grass and clover years ago with WC Allis and 60 Allis combine. He said there wasn't a combine made that could do it better than the old sidewinder Allis.
