Can anyone tell me the correct part number for the above starter?

I purchased a unit on Ebay but it doesn't fit, although its the correct diameter the nose of the starter is too long and it fouls the inside of the bell housing and prevents the hole that secures the starter from lining up.

Do I have the correct starter? I can't get the seller to reply to my questions.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I can"t give you the part number, but after a little research I did find something. The starters for the stationary version of this engine (b-125) have the mounting bolt hole in a different location, making it impossible to swap directly. You might be able to locate a replacement starter nose casting and still use the starter. I believe the same starter is used for the wc, so a bad unit with a good nose casting shouldn"t be too hard (or expensive) to find. Can someone else shed some more light here?

There are 2 different Bendix drives used. The starter for the B, C & CA have more teeth on the drive than on the WC & WD. Armatures are all the same. B, C, CA & WC have 2 shoe fields while WD has a 4 shoe field, gives more torque. B & C starters share the same nose while each of the others has a different one. Some folks put a CA starter on the B or C, or a WD starter on the WC when they want to change to a pull rod from a push rod.
