Allis haybine questions

I have an Old allis haybine that I'm tring to get back up and working. Problem is that its locked up. If I try to engage the tractor PTO it kills the tractor, useing a small tractor so as not to brake things till its freed up. I'm thinking about removeing all the chains on it so less stuff its working at a time so I can free up on part of it at a time but, will that cause problems with timeing if I do that or doesn't it have a timeing issure?? Thanks
Sorry I have no idea what the model is since I can't find any numbers on it

Take a look at the wobble box on those haybines. The one I had was always giving me problems in the field. Those wobble boxes are a real bear to repair and was always giving me fits. I am a Allis Chalmers person but when it comes to their haybines I usually change the subject. Thanks Mike

I don't know anyting specific about A-C haybines, just NH and Owatonna. But the only timing issue I could think of on any haybine would be the roll timing. You just have to make sure the roll lugs are centered up on the space between lugs on the other roll. That made sense in my head, don't know how to say it better. Its pretty easy to get right though.
