Hi , I am in Canada and I have a problem removing the seal and bearing in
the "bell housing" on a WD. I have a Jan 1965 dealer parts catalogue and on
pg. 111 it apears to be item # 10 and 11. I can get the shifter bracket off
as referred to as item 15 on pg 110 but even using a make shift puller I
cannot remove the seal that holds the bearing. This assembly is on the front
end of the engine clutch shaft. Any suggestions as I see you have been in the buisness for some time. Incidently my father bought our first WD in 1950 and a second WD with a
Johnson Workhorse loader in 1952 and we have had AC ever since. This is my
first attempt at restoration and I have 4 more WD"s to go.

Help!!!!!

I can provide pics if needed.

Julian

I can't say for sure. I think you are trying to go the wrong direction. At least that is the way it looks to me, looking at the parts pages in my WD manual. I have my shop manual loaned out and don't have it to refer to.

Can't say that I know, Julian, but I'll be interested in finding out 'cause I've got to do that on a couple of my tractors as well.
