D-17 oil levels

with the help of couple fellows here i found the power steering reservoir i also have a dip stick on the right just in front of the intstrument panel as they stated. oil level looks okay. my question is that oil level with the dip stick does that reservoir feed oli to the all of the transmission, rear end and three point system or is there another oil level to check for those. thanks to those who helped.

The answers to all of your questions are in the OPERATOR manual. Tells you which oils you need in each of the compartments, according to ambient temperatures. Also ID's the controls and gives basic operating and lube info, plus much more. Might cost you $20, but cheap compared to how much you can damage without knowing the right stuff. And no- you do not have a three point system, unless it is a Series IV, with the optional three point. You have a Snap-Coupler hitch. Snap-Coupler refers to the drawbar hookup, not the lift arms, with the lift latches. Many newbies think the snap-coupler refers to the lift arm latches, that they 'snap' into place when they hook up to an implement. Totally wrong. Operator manual would detail all of that.

front to back on a series II D17. Power steering,motor oil,hydraulic oil,one on right of shift lever is rear end and on the left is the power director. At least thats the way mine is. Jim

My D-17 has 4 places for oil. From front to back they are power steering, engine oil, hyds oil and then tranny oil. On my D-17 theres a place right on the top of the tranny by the shifter for the tranny oil and on one side not sure which side it a place for the hyd oil
