Got this thing running. New mag. Only runs on cyl # 1 and 4 or 2 and 3 depending on which way I turn the mag drive. Why won"t it fire on all 4 cyl?? Thanks, Steve

If the wires aren't crossed you need to bring No1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke. Then pull the cap from the mag and see where the rotor is pointing. It should be at the No1 plug tower. Hal

I agree with Dick. Sounds like the wires are crossed. Sometimes you can get an engine to run with the wires in a random order. Firing order is 1243 with the number 1 cylinder in the front.

Well, they do now and it runs great. I was told by the owner the fireing order was 1-4-3-2 but I see it is 1-2-4-3. Thanks, a picture is worth a thousand words, Steve
