My post of 7 MPH was from memory. I have since looked at the link posted by Rod. Rod has done an extensive analysis of the speeds of his tractor. Nebraska tests of the B in 1938 with 7.00 x 24 rear tires resulted in 7 3/4 MPH. In 1950 with 10-24 rear tires, a B had an advertised speed of 7 1/2 MPH. In 1940, a C (distillate) with 9 x 24 rear tires tested at 7 1/2 MPH. A C (gasoline) in 1940 appears to have identical tires and speed to the distillate model.

Hi buzz,

Ground speeds are dependent on engine rpm, various gear ratios and rear tire size. My analysis of ground speeds for my own B is here. All Bs should be the same provided they use the same rear tires and engine speeds. The Cs will be different since they had different gear ratios for the final drive.

its around 7 mph but may be faster if you have oversized tires
