sinse i posted several weeks ago i have soaked my cylinders with every thing from blaster to trans fluid to silo trol i have even thought about paint thinner.i go out every night and rock the back wheel back and forth it seems to be moving the flywheel about an eight of an inch.how could i put heat on the engine and not hurt it or should i just be patient and keep soaking and rocking. the previous owner said that he drove the tractor under the shed about two years ago and it has not been moved thanks

I have a 53 B. I had the same thing, #2 piston was frozen in the cylinder. I tried everything mentioned above. I pulled the head, disconnected the rod and worked out the piston. It would have never came out if I hadn't pulled the head.Good luck

i think my problem might be in the # 2 cylinder because it is the only one that i dont have to add very much fluid to each day.i put a little bit of pressure on the front crank like someone suggested and i am going to give this a few days.i also tried bumping the starter and did not get it to move thanks far all the help

I have to attribute the frozen piston to rain, as the rain cap was missing and exhaust valve was open on #2. I also drained the oil pan and found it was full of water, gallons!

If you have the crank for this tractor put it in and put a jack under it, just put a little pressure on it. Let it set with pb blaster or tranny fluid or whatever in the cylinders and the pressure on the crank, it will break loose in a day or 2 at least mine did. By the way the engine spins clockwise. Good luck, Mike

i dont believe anything i hear when dealing on old tractors and half of what i see...IF it was truly driven and not pushed under shed 2 years ago its had 2 years to grow whatevers holding it stuck...be patient or spring for a head gasket and see whats up.

when i first started soaking and rocking i did not see any movement at all.i can now see a very small amount of movement but like you say i should be patient and maybe it will break loose.if it does not break loose soon i will pull the head and go from there thanks

Is it a hand crank start or a battery start type system??? If its a battery type put a 12 volt battery in it and use the starter motor it will put out more torque then you and 5 other people can turning the rear wheel. Use short fast taps of the starter button and I'll almost bet it pops free if you can move it an 1/8 of an inch right now by hand
