Just purchased this old tractor without knowing exactly what I purchased...My brother wanted it out of his yard kind of deal...
Serial # D15 22381. Im told its a 1966 model..which is cool because thats the year I was born also....
anyway..its a factory LP model with power steering, wide front, 3pt, everything works, purrs like a kitten...
anyone know how many of these were made? trying to determine what it would be worth if I re-paint it and add new tires all around..

Allis made 12,419 Series II D-15 tractors. I do not have the breakdown to show how many were LP. The Blue book puts average value at $3050 for the gas version and about $300 more for the diesel. LP tractors often bring less than the gas tractors but there isn't an estimate. Sometimes they bring more if they only made a few.

New tires are an expensive pursuit running anywhere from $200 to $350 per rear tire. If you do all the prep and painting yourself, it can be done for $100 to $250. There is an ad on Ebay for painting tractors for (if I remember right) $550. If you have no money invested, you've got a good plan!
