I have a 10' Allis disk. Each gang is held in place by two castings. This casting holds the bearing in place and is "u" shaped. The U shape has a long rod running out of it and attaches to the frame with a large snap ring. One of these castings broke and a piece was lost. Does anyone know where I can get this entire casting used or new? I would hate to think how much this would cost to have poured. Or should I use this disk for a yard decoration?

There are a bunch of different styles of those bearing hangers. I know if you go to the Allis Chalmers Forum someone will have the parts that you need for a reasonable price. I'm pretty sure I don't have the ones like you want, but if no one else speaks up I'll look.

I have an old AC wheel disk out in my scrap yard, been there over 5 years, plan to haul it off sometime. It has a 4 blade gang and a 5 blade gang on each corner mounted with cast forks like you describe. Total of 16 forks, some broken. It looks like 2 bolts screw into a bearing housing and a snap ring holds the stem in the frame. If you want any of this, I hope you are not in a big hurry for it. Located 50 miles SE of St. Louis in IL. Jerry

Yes I am interested. Will you e-mail me at my home e-mail address of [email protected]? Will you be willing work a price out and mail me the pieces or do you want to sell the whole thing? Chuck

I just bought an Allis 10' disk at an auction here in central NY this spring. After I figured out what the model number was, I went to the dealer and ordered a new hitch. from the sounds of it you're disk is very similar to mine. I believe you should be able to get parts from you local AGCO dealer, just try to find one who used to sell Allis Chalmers before the merger.
