My problem is that with my D17 I have a 3-point empliment on (disk mower) that uses the hydroulics to lift the blades. but to do this it lifts the arms up first and then the hydro kicks in to lift the blades..... .is there any way to get it to not lift the 3-point before the hydroulics lift?..... this causes a HUGE strain on my mower and tractor so is there a way?

With the arms raised, attach a light chain to the seat frame, and around the shaft between the arms (if they have that). Otherwise, attach the chain to whatever is handy, like a fender. Adjusting the transport valve that old mentioned may have an effect as well- can't remember for sure.

Not sure what a HUGE strain is ?

If you mean that it takes too much time to always wait for the arms to come up before lifting the implement...what you could do is have the arms in the UP position and mechanically hold them in place.
Then, when the hydraulic lever is lowered, the mower will still go down all the way (to the end of the implement's cylinder travel) but the arms won't be lowering.

When you go to lift the implement, the lift-arm cylinder inside the tractor is already filled and so the arms no longer have to move to the up postition because they're already there.

I really don't need the lift arms to lift at all with this piece of equipment..... all I want is for the cylinder to lift the deck.....any way to do this?

Not sure if your will have this but my D-17 has a knob under the hyd outlet that is a sort of flow control and if opened or closed will make the 3 point work differant. I.E. faster or slower

I tried adjusting that once..... I guess I will try agian and see if that makes a difference.....
