I have gotten a tractor from my Dad who is not here to help me with this question.
I want to change oil in the trans and the clutch filler. My first dilemia is that the trans calls for 14.5 qt of SAE 80ep.I went to my local F&F store (I live in Wis) and they looked it up in their book and told me that their universal hydraulic will work . Should I trust that to be true. My second question that the Power director or the clutch filler says it takes SAE20W which they don't carry. Is there any answer for these question with all the new stuff out there for oil or what.

You can use universal trans/hydraulic fluid for both the tansmission and hydraulics/power director. Look for the 821 AGCO/Allis spec on the bucket. If you do heavy field work with your D14, like tillage doing many hours of plowing or discing, I'd recommend you put 80/90EP GL-5 rated gear lube back in the transmission. But if not the univeral fluid is fine and you won't have to keep two kinds of lube on hand. Mike

well i live in wisconsin and fleet farm used to handle 20w in 5 gallon buckets last spring. if not napa has it. other than that i don't know if universal hyd oil would hurt anything. i've used 20w 50 alot in my WD because i use it in my engine as well and i think its just as good if not better than 20w. for example i use my allis to make hay, used 30w one time in july as i changed oil and didn't have enough 20w50 after an hour of baleing i noticed i was only running about 6psi. i stopped baling and went to the store and got some20w50 and it ran 14 psi all day so you tell me whats better . just my opinon
