Just got a CA Allis Chalmers. Runs good, but One wheel....I have a rusty rear rim and no tire. rim is such that it will need to be replaced. So how bad is it? I've got to have the tire, tube and rim to move it to the trailer to bring it home. Where can I find this stuff and who has the best deal? The tire need not be new, as I will be mowing with the tractor.

Can you possibly limp it to a trailer without replacing the wheel? Does not sound like there is much left to hurt, unless the marks you leave behind. If you can buy time it might save $ to adapt a staight replacement rim, if you or a buddy has torch and welder access. I transfered my WD spinadjust rails to a aftermarket ford rim and saved about $20 bucks an hr for my effort. And now I have to look close to remember which rim is factory. It's the one that's not rusty.

where are you at? biggest problem with tires is the shipping. find someone close, or go to local farm- tire shop and check with them. original rims are expensive. if you dont need the adjustable type, just get a fixed rim like the C or 24 inch IH rim.
