My Aunt has a model B that her Dad bought new, It has never been off the farm.
It has been retired from regular work since 1978 we take it for a drive every year and it has been in the garage since new.
Here is the question I have. She was in high school and remembers it was bought new in 1952 and has adjustable wide front, S/N B101507 this number does not show it to be that year.
Any ideas?

What year did the B first get the adjustable wide front? I believe this one still has a Magneto, does this match the 1949 year?

Sometimes memories get confused - happens to me.

The tractor was built in late 1949. It's possible that it wasn't sold until 1952. The B's didn't change much in those years. Serial numbers are probably more important now than they were then.

In june of 1969, the day after i graduated from high school, i bought a new massey ferguson 135. but the serial number said it was a 1967. the dealer had a yard full of over stock.it could have been the same at the allis dealer. Glenn fuller
