I just bought an allis chalmers 616. It ran good when I bought it. But, now it seems to bog out when I put a load on it, open the choke, or turn the gas up. It acts like it might be getting a little rich or flooding out, but you can start it right back up. Does the carburator need adjusted? Anybody have a problem similar that can give me a suggestion? I'm new at this so any help would be appreciated.

Joe had the idea..... I'll only add check screan at the sediment cut off boul.....make sure cutoff valve is all the ways open..... my Farmall M has a small screan at the end of the fuel line at the carb..... .

I would check the fuel line from the tank all the way to the carb. If rust or trash has made a restriction it may get enough flow to start and idle, but not enough to run at working rpm's.

If you have an air tank or compressor, you may be able to back flush from the end of the line at the carb. Open the fuel tank and eliminate any ignition sources while messing with the gas.
