C-CA difference

I have seen a number of questions pertaining to the difference between a model C and a CA. After attempting to install a BC mower on a CA, I can tell you there are lots of differences. My recient discovery is tha CA is about 6 inches longer than a C.

All I know is, when I bolt the mower on, the mower pulley sets somewhere between 5 & 6 inches in front of the PTO pulley. I assume the transmission is longer because of the 4th gear. I don't have access to a Cto measure.

i believe the final drive cases bolt to the differential at a slight angle so they are tipped backward????? that would make the CA a few inches longer.

Where did you find the differences? The torque tubes are the same. From the center of the axle to the torque tube on the C is 12 inches and from the center of the axle to the torque tube on the CA is 14 inches. This 2 inches I know about. My wide front CA that I sold did have a longer wheel base than my C but I never measured it. I put one of my narrow fronts on my C puller and didnt notice any difference in how I chained it, but again I never measured it. Is the mounting point on the final drive for the mower different as well? I have both a wide front and a narrow front CA but I have the engines off. Cant run out and measure the wheel base.
