Hi Folks!
Just wonder, My little Allis B is equipped with a muffler, (not an orginalpart I suppose...) but I have seen most orginal Allis B�s (when they leave the factory?) does not have the muffler, just the pipe trough the hole in the hood. Now, if I skip the muffler, will the tractor sound TO much? is it a big differnece in the soundvolume with/without muffler?

I think most B tractors had a muffler when built.
They were the under the hood type with just a
short pipe sticking a few inches over the hood.
Later models had a tall muffler to get the exhaust
out of the operator's face. I think without a
muffler it will be too loud if you run the tractor
any length of time with a load. I have the under
hood muffler on mine and it's still loud enough
for me.

If you remove the muffler a good thing to do is put on a pipe that will get the end of it up just a little higher then the top of your head when your sitting on it. That helps keep the exhaust gases from blowing right in your face when its running. Also it will be harder on your ears with out the muffler. But they run well eiher way. Both my Cs are stright piped and they have the same engines on them

we have a 4inch stack on our wd sounds great i would say yes it doe on our wd tis louder but you would prolly like the sound better
