refilling hyd lift cylinder

I finally found lift cylinders for my wd45. Now how do I refill them and bleed out the air? Do I losen the large nut were the rod comes out? Are there any other things I should do first?

Worked great and alot easier than taking them off. Now they will not stay in one position floats up and down. It picks up my rototiller no sweat it just will not hold in one place. If I have the control all the way down slowly it will creap up. Suggestions?

Just hook them up and use them after 3 or 4 times of lifting and lowering they will have bled all the air out on there own

Easiest way is just hook it all up and let it pump up and down a few times. Eventually the air will all bleed out. If you hook the hyd hose up with the cylinder retracted (short), then most of the air will be out anyway.
