I paid $100.00 for a Farmall A with the engine stucked and that included the 16-inch moldboard plow. The tires, fenders, rims and steering wheel
all had to be replaced. I installed a new sleeve kit, had the crankshaft measured and polished, new bearings, steam cleaned the engine and put new valves, springs and guides in the head. Ground the valve seats ourselves. Sandblasted all
the parts we could, primed and painted. I don't think you could restore it today for $1000.00. I would post a picture of it here, but I'm afraid I might get shot. Hal

Roy, you're not going to make a lot of money selling this C. It appears as though the exhaust is uncovered. This means assuredly that the engine is stuck. If it has been uncovered a long time as the picture suggests, the engine will have at least one and maybe two cylinders that are unrepairable. Often, when sitting out like this, the tires are a lost cause as well. A guy I met a couple of years ago gave me his C tractor that looked better than yours because he knew that I'd bring it back to life. I did but it was a lot more work than I'd bargained for.

I'd guess, if you are lucky, you could get $250 for it. Most likely less. I sold a H Farmall a couple of weeks ago with a stuck engine for $200.

If you restored it, it would bring more than $1000 but you might spend more than $800 in parts. Rear tires alone would cost about $400. And then there is the time involved - not a small number of hours for refurbishing a tractor.

I agree with you. You should do something. Either sell to someone who will restore it or restore it yourself.
