Hi good people.
I have this little 1940 B home now and it is running reasonably well. My question is regarding the governor. The previous owner has disconnected the governor and has a linkage straight to the carb from the throttle control. Runs ok, but touchy on the throttle. How can I tell if the governor will work again and any hints on how to connect it up? Can anyone provide manual details as I have yet to get a manual.
Thanks and God Bless,
Rex in Australia

Rex, I see your email isn't open. It will be tough to help without exchanging email addresses.

Do you have the linkage for the governor? Are the arms on the governor free - can they be moved forward and backward some amount?

Sen me an email. I'll send some info to get you started.

I sure do agree with you. A tractor is very hard to use without a functioning governor.
