I have a 1969 WD45. I was told to get a NAPA 7011 oil filter. The problem is that the original filter has a pipe that goes thru it an the new one has no provission for this pipe. Do I have the wrong filter or is there a procedure to bypass this pipe, as in doing away with it or what? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry, but 1957 was the last year that the WD45 was built. A Fram C159 for example, would be the correct oil filter for your WD45 Allis or an Agco 70240912. Rick

Wix has since fixed that problem and they are again good to go, if you get the right ones that is

Hi Old,

Use caution with a WIX51101. It could be the old design or it could be the revised design, depending on when it was made. The revised design of the WIX51101 results in lower oil pressure because it does not have the correct filter media for a bypass type of oil system as used in vintage AC tractors. The correct WIX number that now replaces the revised design is WIX57011 (or NAPA7011). See my evaluation. Scroll down towards the end.

Ya the one I have is the old type, and yes I've heard the 57101 is the new improved one but I was going by what I have on my WD45 so I couldn't rememebr the new number. Thanks for pointing that out. Since hes sending me e-mails I will also let him know
