BPS brand paint question.

Those of you who have used BPS brand paint from TSC...Do you recommend using a hardner or just shoot it straight out of the can?
Also, any tips on best primer to use. Has anyone had any luck with BPS primer that TSC sells. This tractor is not for show, however, with the effort involved i want it to look good and last. Thanks,

I have not had any luck with it. Both tractors I painted faded within a year. It did not spray well with my Binks spray gun. I have painted several dozen cars, so experiance is not the problem.
I am also not sure which Allis Chalmers orange it is. It did not match Persian Orange II.

I use BPS paints all the time.

I do use hardner ( valspar that they sell in the paint section ), and use naptha as a thinner if i spray it.. or mineral spirits on anything that I brush ( I don't bursh much of anything... ).

The directions on the can are good enough to get you going mix wise, unless your gun has special viscosity recomendations, in which case.. go with what your gun wants.

I use a cheap chinese gun.. and with a little practice, get great results.

Thanks for the photo...If mine turns out anywhere near what yours looks like I will be a happy man. Any recommendations as far as primer?

I used the BPS primer as well.

Have had -0- orange peeling, flaking, or lifting on any of the ? 9 tractors I've painted with BPS paints over the last 7 years when I started using the stuff.
