wd45 engine timing cover jamb-nut?

I discovered this while/after disassembling my wd45 engine. There is a bolt with a jamb-nut on the engine timing cover. This bolt appears to apply tension on the end of the cam? Is there a torque setting for this for reassembly??? Thanks,

It's purpose is as you describe. The I&T manual has instructions on adjusting it- my manual is in the shop, but the idea is to snug up the setscrew, then back it off ? distance, tighten jam nut. Memory says a half turn?

I did check the manual later- it says 1/2 to 3/4 turn to back it off.
