Is a 7' grader blade to much for a wd45

I"ve been looking for a 6" grader blade. Well I found a 7" blade for $175(used 3-times/ from TSC). My question is...Is my wd45 capable of handling a 7" blade? I plan to use the blade primarily for snow removal and occasionally for gravel drive.

Well since an 8N ford will handle a 6 foot easy a 7 footer on a WD45 would work well since the WD45 is more then twice the tractor both in weight and HP. Shoot I think it would handle an 8 footer. Also think of it this way My WC Speed Patrol has a 9 footer under its belly and does a good job and thats for the most part a WC tractor that they made into a grader, so yes a WD 45 will handle it.

I think it would be okay. I use a six foot box blade and an eight foot grader blade behind my WD. It would help me out if I had my weights installed, but it works. Only problem that I really have is when the grader blade is at a strong angle front to back. The front of the tractor will try to slide in the direction of the blade angle. I can use the brakes to help keep it straight on the hard spots though. I actually have a harder time pulling the box blade since it holds so much more material. I think that would be where my wheel weights would help the most. Remember you can always take a lighter bite untill you get the material broke loose. And your seven foot width shrinks quick when you angle the blade.
