I recently read Rod (NH)'s article concerning rebuilding an Allis B hydraulic ram (Rod is a very good sorce for much useful information and is always willing to help with a problem). Anyway, since his article was so easy to follow and gave a location for the seals, I rebuilt mine. Works great and doesn't leak anymore.

Since they had a $10 minimum for orders, I had to order three sets of seals to meet the minimum. If anyone needs these seals, please contact me and I'll ship them to you for $10, including postage.

got a leaky ram on my model C allis chalmers, need any info on the seals and where to get them and how to fix, manual says to use straight 20 wgt oil, kinda hard to find, and othe oil OK? thanks

Thanks for the kind words. I'm glad you got your cylinder repaired. Before I found that company on the net, I got all my seals from a local power transmission supplier about 15 miles away. If they had what I wanted in stock, everything was fine. But if they didn't, which was usually the case, a special order would result in the UPS shipping costs being significantly greater than the cost of the seal itself, even if the seal was small enough to be shipped in a standard USPS first class envelope. I made out better with the on-line purchase of the V-rings and wound up, as you did, with spare seals to boot.

Hi, Rod. Your article on the hydraulic ram sure made it easy to do, including ordering the right parts. The cylinder leaked pretty bad and I found the male adapter missing when I took it apart.

My B is running great. I'll be sending you a picture after I get the front wheels painted and the decals on the hood.
