Anyone know how I tighten the fanbelt on my Allis B?

before the generators, it was like OLD said, on the water pump. you will probably have to remove the fan and take the pulley off and soak it and beat it apart, then wire brush.... if it has not been moved in 20 years.

On the water pump pulley theres a couple of lock bolts. Loosen them up and then turn the pulley half till the belt is tight. The wider the pulley the looser the belt the narrower the pulley the tighter the belt. At times it can be real fun to get it to move because of years of rust

The lower pulley on the crank has a movable half that is on a cam. Loosen three bolts I think and move the half so the pulley gets narrower which will thighten the belt if there is any ajustment left. No adjustment left it is rime for a new belt.

Kent, you sure its not on the water pump not the crank pulley?? I know on all of the Cs I have all of them have that adjustment on the water pump and a cast iron pulley on the crank shaft

Yep know how it can be. Shoot I have so many colors of tractors some thimes I have to step back and think before I tell some one something and then some times I even open up a book first. But on this one I walk by a pulley every time I walk into this room since I have one of them laying on a table off a C
