I own mainly case tractors but am trying to help out a coworker. He just bought a D19 Dsl that hasnt started in over five years and he has no manuals. I havent gone to look at it yet. I am sure the filters need changing and tank will need to be drained as he said the cap was off for awhile. What years were these made? And where is the serial number located so I can try and get a owners manual for him. Was there more than one option for fuel filters such as spin on or canister? thanks Bill

I have a 1962 D19 diesel. One thing I've learned is there were only about 11,000 total made during the three model years. Figure maybe 1,000 propane, 2,000 gas, and that leaves only about 8,000 diesels total. It seems there really aren't that many around anymore. I bought this one in 1971, sold it to my father in 1973, and inherited it back when he died in 1985.

there are two filters both canister style. these are the only type available I own a d 19 diesel myself and just rebuilt it there are manuals available that describe the total tear down and rebuild process costing about 25 dollars available on the web. the serial number is below the seat but they put two different motors in these tractors and you will need to make sure you find the serial number on the motor if you need other parts for it. D-19's were made in 62,63,64. Serial number is behind seat on the right side as you face tractor on a flat spot on top of the casing. Shoud start with D19. Not familiar with the D19 diesel so I don't know about your filters.
