Which lettering is correct?

I was given an model C, and from what I can determine, it is a mid to late 44 manufacture. I was wanting to know whether the blue or black lettering would be correct for this year model. Also, the correct placement locations would be helpful also.

Blue long A, Long S style decals are corect for your tractor. Book titled "Original Allis-Chalmers 1934-1957" by Andy Krausar is excellent refference on decal placement & other details.
