Hello;

I have a 51 Model B that runs and start good. My question is how often should you change the oil? I am running detergent 30w oil with new filters each time. I also cut five acres with it each time I fire it up , it usually takes 1/3 of a quart to do so.
The oil gets darker after about three to five mowings, so how often should I change the oil
?

i change each march to get ready for the spring season. i probably get around the 100 hr rule.

Once or twice a year is enough most of the time unless you really run it a lot. A lot of company owners manauls will say change your oil every 100 hour of run time
