In need of info. Will a D17 226ci block work on a WD45 with all the internal parts of the WD45. If not what other block will work with the internal WD45 parts. Maybe WD ?

The 45 crank will not work in the 17 block. I might have a block in a week or so. Just bought a 45 for parts. When I get it home, I can dig in quick and see if you'd like, or you can try to find a WD or 45 block, or a complete 17 engine. The WD block would work, but you've got the side plate on the WD block and anyone looking at your tractor will wonder about the internals.

same block, leave the guts in it, you'll have a little more hp.

Thanks Bob, I will need to place the WD45 parts in the D17 block do to I just had the crank ground and bought a piston and sleeve kit before the machine shop found way too many crackes in the webbing and one down the center main.

Not sure, but I don't think a '45' crank will work in the '17' block. mains are different.
