Allis B Spark Plug Arcing...

Just got this Allis B running after about 30 years of sitting in a shed... Engine was stuck. Removed the head and had a valve job done, had to replace 2 valves and all of the valve springs. Replaced water pump, Rebuilt carbeutor, Rebuilt magento and installed new spark plugs and wires.
But I have a miss and it comes and goes...
Have not been able to figure it out until tonight.
I started the tractor up in the pitch dark and noticed that I had two spark plugs jumping fire around the plug base at the point where the porcelen meets the plug base then I looked a little closer and noticed that on the number 1 cylinder I could see arching around the base at the porcelen area and it looked like it was inside the plug itself...
Has anyone ever had this problem?
As I might add these are Champion plugs J8C.
Don't think that I will be purchasing anymore Champion plugs.
Going to get some NGK plugs tomorrow...

UPDATE>>>

It regard to the previous question...
I installed NGK B6S spark plugs and the missing is still occurring. So I installed some new Autolite 295 and same thing as with all the other plugs... Just checked in the dark to see if the arcing was occurring the same and it is. It looks as if you can see arcing inside the base of the porcelen. Would anyone have an idea what to do next? Maybe I have a cracked end cap or maybe a bad rotor.
The miss is not to bad just annoying but when I'm using the tractor above idle the miss is nearly as bad.
Maybe itis in the endcap... Any ideas?

I know its too late now but in the future instead of buying new plugs/wires right off the bat try just moving the plug to a different hole and see if the miss/arch moves with it, same goes for wires...just my 2 cents

I have only seen that type of arcing when the porcelain has been cracked when improperly torquing spark plug by cocking the socket. I was warned that this would happen 50 years ago or more. When ever it was that I put in spark plugs the first time. Never all plugs at the same time but it sure could happen if you did not take care that the socket was not cocked. This is the reason on my little Allis tractors I cave in the top of the filter when I replace the rear plug.

another cause could be humidity...if its damp and cold or warming up porcelain may be sweating and arcing on the moisture...try spraying plugs with wd 40 to see if arc goes away.

Well you said you replaced the plug wires, but did you replace them with what should be on it or with the type used on cars and trucks??? If you used the out of the box plug wires made for a car or truck then you put the problem there your self. You ask hows that well on tractors you need true copper wire core plug wires not the newer type made for cars, if you use the car type you will have all sorts of funy problems because they are made to surpress radio interferance and cause problems.

The replacement spark plug wires are original type with copper wire and cloth coating that came from The Brillman Company... brillman.com
