XT 190 misses and smokes

Maybe you guys can point me in ther right direction,i have a xt 190 that misses and smokes white when you first start it,after it warms up it runs great,however at idle it still puffs grey smoke and sounds like it has a miss,(kind of pops)however under load it runs great,i have had the injectors rebuilt,doesnt use any oil or water and doesnt run hot..probally has a little blow by but not much.. I am sure confused on where to go with this..any of you guys had any similar experiences?

I think BCnT is right because at the dealership we had a 190XT doing the same thing and was scratchin our heads when an old IH mechanic stopped in to get some Gleaner parts heard it idling and said you need to adjust the valves on that thing he just walked out with his parts and drove off we did and she settled down and purred like a kitten. Makes sense because the blower is taking care of the compression problem at high end.Good luck CT

Thanks guys for the info..i tried to check the timing before and after getting TDC i couldnt find a mark on the pump shaft..so thinking i was 180 out i rotated the engine and still could not find a mark? maybe a valve adjustment may be in order..I pulled a 12' offset last week over 30 acres of blackland and it pulled like a new tractor..its just the idle thats quirky

sounds like also the injection pump is a little out of time, my 806ih did that till I reset the injection pump timming.

you could have a valve set too tite ...sounds like low compression in 1 or more cylinders...compression test would tell you more.
