Does anyone have the PTO seal number for the tapered Right angle PTO shaft? Mine is leaking. It also looks like I need to replace the bearing at the end of the shaft. I have acces to many bearings and seals. If anyone could give me part numbers or sizes that would be great! I just installed a mower and I don't want the leaky oil wrecking my belt.

Thanks Rod!
I found your site and then got your message reply!
I have sent you an email but I guess you can ignor it since you answered my question with telling me to check the shaft size.

Chad,

Here's how I replaced that seal on my '42B. You may or may not have a grooved shaft to contend with. You also should verify the shaft dia since I believe there were two different diameter shafts used - an early one and a late one for 1939 and later. Of course there could have been a swap of the PTO also unless you are sure it is original. Best to verify before buying anything.

The last ones that I have replaced I just called Sandy Lake Implement and told them what I wanted and they sent it right out. You dont need the numbers with them. When I get the seals or bearings from my plant supplier, I just give them the measurements and they look it up. My bearing supplier does not have an Allis Chalmers cross reference.
