Hi all, new to this area, going to look at a 47 B 12 volt system with PTO & a bush hog attachment. Man says not running, thinks points are bad & dead battery. I"m looking for something to use on 5 acres to just mow & grade driveway & maybe pull a few stumps & logs. Will this unit do it? I appreciate any and all help here, any web sites with info on what to look for. Also, can you add a loader to this unit & what is approximate cost if known.

Again, thanks to all in advance, just not mechanically talented !!! Dangerous with tools.

Well a B is around 22HP and is a good little tractor but it has its limits. Stumps unless small forget it . Now for mowing and some other things there good but if it doesn't have a 3 point gradeing a road with it will not be easy to do.

Thanks for the quick reponse, he is asking 900 for it as is. Any known problems I could look for? The guy seems pretty straight forward, in no hurry to sell. Also will it take a front end loader or too much $$ to convert?

Thanks again, Mick

If it has good tires on it and the sheet metal is good 900 isn't to bad if it runs or can be made to run easy. Yes they made a loader for them but again its a small tractor and is limited as to what it will pick up. I own a couple Cs which are almost the same as a B and I use them all the time, but as I said limited to what they can do. I tried to pull a farmall M today with oe of my Cs and all it would do was spin. I had the power but not the traction that I needed.Shoot when I tried to jerk it I broke the chain which could have been bad if it had back lashed and hit me. Theres a picture or 2 of my C in the web page
